Forklift driver arrested after deliberately ramming into vehicles and pedestrians in China
A man was arrested after he went on a rampage with his forklift, causing multiple car wrecks and injuring several pedestrians in southern China.
Video filmed in the city of Zhongshan in Guangdong Province on May 12 shows a man driving a forklift to hit cars and pedestrians deliberately on a road.
"About a dozen cars were hit and some people were lying on the ground," a witness said.
Police arrived at the location shortly and arrested the 48-year-old forklift driver named Hui. As of 1:00 pm, the affected area was still closed off to the public.
According to officials from the local police station, the perpetrator has been apprehended and taken into custody.
Four injured people were sent to a nearby hospital and none of them were in life-threatening condition.
The case is still under investigation.
