A stray kitten stuck inside a pillar next to an ATM machine was rescued.

The feline climbed up the roof of a commercial building but unfortunately fell into a hole in Yasothon province, Thailand on May 8.

It was heard crying by customers and workers who were withdrawing money from the machines so they contacted the animal rescuers for help.

Footage shows a rescue volunteer cutting the wooden board with a sharp tool. A worker from one of the restaurants assisted him with a flashlight.

Onlooker Pannita who called the rescue team said: 'The fast food restaurant workers heard the cat first but everyone was busy. When we found out we asked the manager for permission to cut it open.'

The rescuer took the ginger kitten home and later decided to adopt it. It was unhurt and healthy.
