Extraordinary 73-year-old 'King of Stone Locks' stuns with incredible feats and Guinness World Records
A 73-year-old man named Wang Bingrong amazed spectators as he effortlessly lifted two 80-kilogram stone locks in each hand, showcasing remarkable strength and agility.
The impressive video was filmed in the city of Qinzhou in Jiangsu Province on July 19, 2021.
Wang is a nationally renowned master of stone lock exercises, possessing an innate power that sets him apart. His repertoire includes awe-inspiring feats such as the "elbow split" and "blindfolded lock throwing," unmatched by anyone else.
In late July 2014, during the Guinness World Records Challenge held in Milan, Italy, Wang Bingrong achieved a record-breaking feat of successfully throwing and catching a 40-kilogram stone lock blindfolded, accomplishing this remarkable feat 13 times. This accomplishment made him the first person in Qinzhou city to break a Guinness World Record.
Originally a chef, Wang obtained a Level II certificate in the late 1990s. However, his battle with chronic colitis made him realise the importance of a healthy body.
Through years of stone lock training, he not only overcame his illness but also became a staunch advocate for physical fitness. He has inspired many others to strengthen their bodies and promote widespread engagement in stone lock exercises, turning it into a popular national fitness activity.
Stone lock exercise, known as "Liao Shi Suo," is an ancient martial arts discipline believed to have originated during the Sui and Tang dynasties.
The practice gained popularity during the reign of Emperor Dao Guang in the Qing Dynasty. Originally used as a training method for soldiers, it later became an essential component of martial arts examinations.
