The Ukrainian model brutally murdered in Thailand styled herself on Marilyn Monroe and dreamed of being a movie star.

Alona Savchenko, 24, bleached her hair blonde and even had a mole on her cheek in the same pace as the iconic U.S. superstar. She was paid by firms to pose on her social media accounts and tag their brands and did photoshoots for her boyfriend.

The young woman, who was studying in Jinan, China, appeared to have a jet-set lifestyle holidaying in Valencia, Warsaw, Istanbul, London, and Rome in the months before she arrived in Bangkok at the end of April.

She wrote online: 'This is a short escape to something that feels like home.'

Alona visited several upmarket shopping malls and relaxed in the hotel swimming pool while showing off her recent boob job. She boasted 'Got a figure like a pin-up' alongside a picture of Marilyn.

She regularly posted lyrics from psychedelic Beatles songs and likened herself to Alice from Alice in Wonderland. She wrote last year: 'I'm just a mermaid from outer space and I'm tired of all this human stuff. I'll be Alice you be the Mad Hatter.'

In another post she wrote: 'I'm ready for a new chapter'.

She added: 'I'm studying but dreaming of being a star.'

However, she was found repeatedly stabbed and hacked to death with a saw with her left wrist cut off on May 15. Her boyfriend, Britain-based advertising tycoon Jan Jerzy Lagoda-Filippow, 25, has been arrested over the murder.
