Footage shows the British-based advertising tycoon arrested over the gruesome murder of his model girlfriend at a hotel in Thailand.

Jan Jerzy Lagoda-Filippow, 25, from Poland allegedly repeatedly stabbed peroxide blonde Alona Savchenko, 24, at the Key Sathorn-Charoenraj condominium in Bangkok before she was found dead on Monday May 15.

The jet-setting influencer had been on a short break away from her university in Jinan, China, before being killed in the horrifying bloodbath at the Key Sathorn-Charoenraj condominium.

Lagoda-Filippow allegedly used the Google Translate app to ask a taxi driver for help disposing of Alona's body before fleeing to Sa Kaeo province where he was caught trying to escape into neighbouring Cambodia.

He has so far allegeldy refused to co-operate with police and is waiting for an appearance at court accused of murder.

Police Captain Thavorn Boonpeng, commander of the 1302 Ranger Force which arreted Lagoda-Filippow with the use of a sniffer dog called Judy, said: 'Judy suddenly ran away from us and we were following her.

'When Judy stopped running, she went to the front of the tour agency where people buy tickets to Cambodia. I saw that she was sniffing the Caucasian man. Her actions were quite unusual, and that's when I realised the man was the suspect in the recent murder case.

'Judy is a very smart dog. When humans missed him, she was somehow able to sense where he was.'

Police Lieutenant Colonel Pongpun Phonharn, from the Wat Phraya Krai district station, said: 'The victim arrived at the condo with her boyfriend on April 29, but he left without her at around noon on May 15.

'We learned that he had hired a taxi for 1,500 baht ($44) to take him to Sa Kaeo province. He was likely trying to cross the border to Cambodia.'
