A Thai man was found dead in a hotel room following a sex-drug fuelled romp with a young sex worker in central Thailand.

The local, 62, met with the prostitute at a pay-by-the-hour 'love motel' in Suphanburi province on May 17 afternoon before popping a pill to improve his performance in bed.

However, he collapsed mid-way through the tryst before the callous call girl heartlessly fled the room without calling an ambulance.

Hotel staff found the body when they entered the room after he failed to check out an hour later.

Police officers from the Tungkok district station said they received a report about the grim discovery at 5:30 PM.

They arrived at the property to find the man lying naked on the bed with his legs dangling over the edge. Initial investigations found there were no signs of physical injury or assault in the room.

There was also a box of unused condoms and half a Viagra-like tablet at the scene, but the sex worker was nowhere to be found.

Police Captain Taksin Khanthongdee, the investigator at the Tungkok police station, said: 'We believe the man had met the prostitute through an app and invited her to the hotel. When he took the pill, he probably experienced a medical emergency, which frightened her and caused her to flee on the motorcycle.'

A local food vendor with a nearby told the cops that the man had rented a motorcycle from her to meet with the sex worker at the hotel. The hooker later returned the two-wheeler to her and left in a hurry.

The vendor said: 'I did not really get a good look at her, but I became suspicious when she left quickly after returning my motorcycle. I couldn't get in touch with my friend, so I went to the hotel myself and learned that he had died there.'

The man's body will undergo a post-mortem examination while cops track down the sex worker for interrogation.
