Weird theft at a barbershop when thieves leave flip-flops they don't use at a place they robbed in Indonesia
The thieves took money and a hair clipper from a barbershop in Indonesia. The thief then left a pair of flip flops.
Security camera footage installed at the barbershop in Jambu Air, on the border of the cities of Bukittinggi and Agam, West Sumatra Province, shows that the theft occurred on May 13 at midnight.
Two thieves using an automatic motorbike stopped in front of the barbershop, one man forced his way in from behind.
Randi, the hairdresser at the barbershop, showed flip-flops near the back door that looked different from those used by the perpetrator during the action. It is suspected that the perpetrator left it intentionally to trick the victim.
The thieves also left traces when they damaged the doors and cash register drawers. They took 200,000 Indonesian Rupiah in cash and three hair clipper units worth 3,000,000 IDR, or a total loss of 214 USD.
“That night I came back from shopping at the store around midnight. Back to the barbershop, open the door then go inside and see the back door open. I went back to the barber room and saw the drawer, it turned out that the thief had broken into it," Randi added.
The theft has been reported to the police. Authorized officers distributed CCTV videos with clear characteristics to various social media.
Until today, (18 May), the characteristics and mode of the perpetrators began to be revealed after residents provided information about the alleged perpetrators in comments on the internet. The perpetrator's mode is suspected to be business competition or a former employee who was dissatisfied when the barbershop owner fired him.
