A wild monkey troop followed tourists around to steal their food and drink their water.

The primates approached the sightseeing group at a wildlife sanctuary in Thailand on March 29.

Footage shows the first creature walking towards the holidaymakers before it jumped to grab a bag of snacks.

Another monkey licked the salty arms of one of the foreigners while the others played with their shoes and curiously checked out their gadgets.

One of the monkeys stole a bottled water from a man and drank from its spout while the amused visitors watched.

French tourist Romane Gautreau said: ‘We had fun interacting with the animals. They were a handful. You could not anticipate what they would do next.'
