A carbon-neutral "party boat" worth £25 million has arrived at its new base in Royal Docks, London.

Footage from May 20 shows the vessel passing Silvertown on the River Thames.

Oceandiva is set to undergo a £1.8 million fit-out and is due to be in full service from June.

The ship accommodates up to 1,000 people with three decks and measuring 86 metres in length.

Powered by two lithium battery packs, the vessel aims to keep carbon emissions to a minimum. Its owners have pledged to use 100 per cent renewable energy by 2030.

A brand new events vessel called OCEAN DIVA has made it's maiden arrival in London - it will be based in the Royal Docks but will operate events at ExCel and along the River Thames.

It is powered by electric motors running off rechargeable battery packs which are topped up using either shore power connections, on-board solar panels or bio-fuel engine.

Completed in 2023 at the VEKA GROUP shipyard in the Netherlands for the SMART GROUP events company.

The vessel has sparked some controversy among riverside residents who are concerned about the size of the vessel and potential late-night disruption from the vessel's operations.
