Shoppers fled when a magnitude 4.8 quake rocked a grocery store in the Philippines on Saturday morning.

CCTV footage shows locals running for safety as boxes, shelves, and racks shook inside the shop in Odiongan town in Romblon province on May 20.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said the earthquake struck at around 8:40 AM around 14 kilometres southwest of Odiongan at a depth of four kilometres.

Odiongan Mayor Trina Firmal-Fabic suspended work and classes as the town was jolted by aftershocks. No casualties or injuries were reported.

The Philippines is an archipelago of more than 7,000 islands inside the Pacific 'Ring of Fire' where the majority of Earth's volcano eruptions and earthquakes happen.
