Environmental activists stage fossil fuel protest in the City of London on day of Shell AGM
Environmental activists organised a protest outside Shell's largest shareholders today in the City of London (May 23).
A protester wearing a Rishi Sunak model head poured fake oil on a globe, while others held up banners and set off smoke flares outside Vanguard Asset Management's building.
'Oil Slickers' dressed in black cloaks made their presence known outside the offices.
The demonstration highlighted the continued investment in fossil fuels by Vanguard and BlackRock and negligence displayed by Shell after polluting vast swaths of land in the Niger River Delta.
