Daughter wears mum's senior prom dress 21 years later
A proud daughter wore her mum's sparkling prom dress - 21 years later.
Excited teenager Carleigh Fowler, 17, received the family hand-me-down from mother Megan Rimmer, who wore it to her own senior prom in 2002 in Yorktown, Virginia.
Megan was 18 when she wore the dress and is now 39, but it still fits her daughter like a glove.
Carleigh slipped into the sequined one-shoulder garment for her school dance celebration on May 13.
Pictures show her posing for photos with a matching purple corsage on her wrist and dangling purple gemstone earrings,
The young lady was the spitting image of her mother Megan. She even posted the pictures on social media, where adoring strangers from around the world had viewed them more than three million times.
The proud mum said: 'My daughter, Carleigh, went to her senior prom last weekend. She wore my dress that I wore to my senior prom in 2002. The back of the dress is definitely a showstopper.
'She made a TikTok of photos of both of us in the dress, 21 years apart. It was such a special night as her mum.'
