A pet dog sitting on a roof confused a passing driver as it watched the sunset on top of the 25ft-high structure.

The pooch was spotted on the edge of the metal roofing of a home in a neighbourhood in Samut Sakhon province, Thailand, on March 26.

Driver Janey Piyanan quickly pulled over as she thought that the creature was trapped and needed help.

But Janey, panting after searching for a way to safely take the animal down, was amused upon finding the staircase that led to a roof deck.

Footage shows the dog relaxing atop the abandoned house as worried Janey runs around the property.

Janey said: ‘I was thinking ‘who let the dog up there', I was so worried. But then I saw the staircase at the back of the house.'

She added the pooch was gone when she passed by the street the next day.
