A wild baby bear knocking on a resident's door left when the owner yells ‘go away'.

Footage shows the juvenile but already stocky black bear standing on its hind legs while tapping its paws on the glass door in Connecticut on May 20.

But the curious animal dashed away upon hearing house owner Christopher Doring's voice asking it to leave.

Upon reaching the foot of the stairs, the baby bear paused and looked back before Christopher said: ‘Get,' and the animal finally decided to run back to the woods.

Christopher said: ‘I woke up to rustling and was about to go yell at the cat when I saw the bear.'

Black bears are medium-sized bears endemic to North America. They are omnivores and live in largely forested areas, although wander into human communities in search of food.
