A bizarre sighting captured the moment a zebra chased a warthog mum and baby for fun.

Sabine Jakob, 57, was on safari in Ruaha National Park, Tanzania, when she spotted an unusual interaction happening just in front of her.

Funny footage captured a zebra running round in circles after a baby warthog which had apparently come too close to its territory.

Then the baby’s mother stepped in to try and help only for the black and white animal to start charging at her as well, while Sabine tried not to laugh.

Sabine said: “At first I thought it was a serious matter. Until I realised that the zebra was just a change I laughed a lot. I had to be careful not to shake from laughing while filming.

“The zebra was bored. It hunted the warthogs for fun. Zebras and warthogs are not enemies. They live in peace. Sometimes an animal just gets too close though I suppose.

“First it chased a baby. Then the mother wanted to help and the zebra hunted the mother. The zebra didn't care. The main thing was to have fun.

“It carried on for about six minutes until the zebra lost interest.”
