Wild honeybees displaced by the changing weather built three huge hives over a Buddhist temple entrance in Thailand.

The bee swarms found a safe haven at the Wat San Chang Hin temple in Phayao province, forming three 60-inch-tall nests next to each other.

The insects' dome-shaped abodes hung 30 feet above the ground just a few steps away from the temple's red-and-gold assembly hall doors.

Monks said the honeybees have so far not attacked any visitors or staff, so they decided to leave the bugs alone for now.

They said the swarms may have migrated from nearby forests due to the fluctuating temperatures as Thailand entered its annual monsoon rainy season.

The Thailand Meteorological Agency declared the start of the country's wet season on Monday, May 22.

The period sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms in the afternoon leading to widespread flash floods.
