Shepherds walk hundreds of sheep along centuries-old path across Swiss Alps

a shepherd, Damian Jeannerat and his family and friends walk the traditionnal Transhumance hike with hundreds of sheep to reach a mountain pasture where they will spend the summer.
filmed in 4K as the group walked around the city of Sierre in Valais canton in the swiss Alps.
Transhumance is a millenium-old tradition of walking with the animals to another pasture for a the summer season.
They will spend the next few months in the mountains above Vercorin.
Coincidentally , a cute baby lamb was born just a few hours earlier , in the night before they left their winter pasture in Mollens.
They decided to name the baby lamb girl "Vercorine" in honour of the village of Vercorin where they are welcome.
