An elderly passenger, who slipped while boarding a moving train in eastern India's Jharkhand, was saved by an alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) cop.

This incident happened at platform number one of Muri railway station on May 27.

CCTV footage captured the moment when the elderly man, later identified as Vikash Dey, lost his balance while getting on the moving train (22892). He held on to the train handle but after failing to board the train completely, he slipped and fell perilously close to the gap between the vehicle and the platform. The RPF officer who was standing right there, pulled him away to safety. It was later learnt that he was travelling from Ranchi to Howrah and had gotten down the train to fetch some snacks. He resumed his journey later in the same train.
