Claws Manicure for A Parrot in Grodno Zoo, Belarus

This footage shows one of the staff members of the zoo in Grodno, Belarus taking care of a parrot named Trisha by giving him a kind of manicure on his claws. The cat named Mars, that is sitting next to Trisha tries to interrupt the process.
Trisha suffers from a circovirus infection which is dangerous only for parrots and safe for mammals. The virus destroys the immune system, disrupts the growth of the feather, beak. The disease is incurable. There were isolated cases of self-healing. In general, the bird needs good conditions of maintenance, feeding, health monitoring regularly and immunity support.
