A kind resident drilled holes in their wall to save a trapped kitten.

Angkana Intrajai and her family heard strange crying sounds coming from the board next to the door of their home in Chiang Mai province, Thailand on April 9.

They searched for the exact spot and used the power tool to poke through the wooden structure and free the cat.

Footage shows the house owner drilling tiny holes that formed tiny squares. He then chipped off the drilled parts and took the kitten out.

Angkana said: ‘The mother and her babies stayed on the gutter in our roof. Maybe the kitten fell down the drain.

‘As much as we wanted to adopt the kitten, her mother climbed up the roof facing our window to take the baby.'

Its mother took the kitten, but Angkana said they would leave food for the strays.
