This humongous crocodile was spotted feasting on young prey in Australia, with the shocking scene leaving onlookers both amazed and unnerved by the brutal encounter.

The person behind the camera, Jacob Bowman, captured the footage in the Adelaide river during 'The Croc Bus Tour' on May 19 .

The reptile is known as "Dominator" and is believed to be over six metres long.

The clip was posted to TikTok where it amassed 1.9 million views.

Crocodile experts assert that cannibalistic behaviour is not entirely uncommon in these ancient creatures.

While crocodiles are known to be opportunistic predators, instances of them preying upon their own species are relatively rare but not unheard and this behaviour can occur in situations of territorial disputes or when food sources are scarce.
