Delighted fishermen cheer when pod of orcas leap next to their boat in the Philippines
Fishermen were treated to an awesome spectacle when a pod of orcas leapt next to their boat in the Philippines.
Angler Kevin George Soco and his colleagues were returning home after fishing off Lopez Jaena town in Misamis Occidental province when they spotted the killer whales 'porpoising' near their speedboat on May 24.
Footage shows the marine creatures arcing in and out of the water repeatedly, drawing cheers from the delighted locals.
The orca pod appeared to follow their boat and left when the fishermen reached the shore.
Kevin said: 'We were so happy. It was our first time seeing orcas here in our waters. It was quite a rare sight.'
