Explorer discovers huge vehicle GRAVEYARD with 'very rare' cars and buses left to rot including PORSCHE coupé Part 1/2
An abandoned graveyard has been discovered with an estimated “very rare” 80 vehicles left for spare parts – including a Porsche.
Professional urban explorer, Daniel Sims from Huddersfield discovered the site by wandering the extensive grounds – which includes its own dilapidated petrol station.
Investigating the site, the 34-year-old found airport buses, travel coaches, and even a racing coach.
Sharing his findings on social media, under the name Bearded Reality, the explorer has gained 10,700 followers on Youtube and over 9,200 on TikTok.
“When I arrived I was met by a lovely gentleman that explained that he owned the site where the vehicles were stored and explained why they were all there, Daniel told NeedToKnow.co.uk.
“It is quite shocking seeing all these vehicles left behind and the vast amount of them and totally not everyday things to see, however, there is definitely a silver lining that not everything is wasted and parts are being used to repair other vehicles
“The buses and coaches go there to die and spare workable parts are used from these existing buses and coaches to repair other vehicles leaving these ones behind.
“I was not expecting the mass amount of buses and coaches left behind and it could be one of the largest private collections of buses and coaches in the UK.”
Among the buses are a white 1984 Bedford with a Plaxton Paramount body, a green 1963 Bedrod with a Duple Bella Vega Body, and a 1982 Bedford with a Duple Dominant 3 body, known as the racing coach.
Also abandoned on the site were several old cars, including a Porsche 924, a 1976 Morris Minor, and a 1996 Hona Accord, valued at £20,986 second-hand.
Daniel shared the site on YouTube, receiving 26,000 views.
One viewer said: “Wow very very very very rare cars.”
Tony added: “Let the buses rest in peace / no respect these days.”
“Is it possible to buy one of em and fix em and sell em,” asked Ali. [sic]
Another person commented: “That is some epic Buses you have spotted great video.” [sic]
“It honestly would be cool to see a will it start with all of these, old diesel vehicles sound amazing,” said someone else.
