BUFFALO BILL and his Wild West Show have been brought steaming back to life after being expertly colourised to commemorate the 130th anniversary of their private show for Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee.

Striking images show William F Cody, aka Buffalo Bill, standing alongside his Native American performers and looking off into the distance in a portrait shot.

Other stunning pictures show some of the Sioux who performed in his travelling show including Iron White Man, Joe Black Fox and Samuel American Horse.

Queen Victoria is also pictured in a portrait. The incredible photographs were painstakingly colourised by artist Matt Loughrey (38) of My Colorful Past, based in Westport, Ireland.
