THE REMARKABLE journey of a man who nearly died walking from one side of Iceland to the other over the space of two-and-a-half weeks has been captured in a stunning video.
Footage shows 25-year-old Marco Parlante of Trieste, Italy, traversing freezing glaciers, vast black deserts and huge peaks as he makes his way from Sauðárkrókur, on the North Sea, to Skógar on the South Sea.
Other shots show Marco looking down on immense valleys from the tops of mountains, while he also managed to capture cascading waterfalls and exploding geysers on film as he made the journey of over 300 miles.
