Nearly 20,000 Chinese Damas danced together in north China’s Hebei Province, setting a new Guinness World Record on Saturday for the largest group of people performing a single dance. A total of 18,441 people, mainly middle-aged women dressed in red uniforms, broke the line dance record set by over 17,000 participants in the US in 2007. People dancing in unison in China is not uncommon in the country’s cities, and is seen as a good way to stay fit and healthy.
