A cop came to the rescue of an elderly man who slipped while boarding a moving train in western India's Maharashtra.

This incident happened in Vikhroli station on May 31.

CCTV footage captured the chilling moment when the elderly man, later identified as Kazi Tajammul Hussain, slipped and fell while trying to get on the moving train. The 72-year-old lost his balance while he was trying to enter the A63 carriage and was being dragged by the train. It was when female cop Sony Wankhade rushed to the aid of the passenger, pulling him out of harm's way.

Station guard Sandeep Pundkar stopped the vehicle. Hussain did not suffer any injuries and was made to sit inside the train and continue his journey.
