Torrential rain struck southwestern China in the early hours of June 1, triggering flash floods that swept away multiple vehicles.

The video was filmed in Lianghe Town in Zhaotong City in Yunnan Province.

The local middle school was submerged as the nearby river surged, with the water levels reaching nearly five meters. The flooding inundated the school playground and classrooms, but fortunately, all 356 trapped students were safely evacuated.

Tragically, the mountain torrents have claimed the lives of three individuals, and one person is currently missing. Several houses have been damaged by the floods, prompting the urgent relocation of more than 3,200 affected residents.

The search and rescue operations for the missing individuals, as well as the assessment of nuclear disasters, are currently underway with full force.
