Amusing footage has emerged from a branch of Sainsbury's in Brockley, south London on Friday of a cat browsing the aisles - before reportedly setting up camp on a shelf and refusing the leave.

The filmer later wrote online: "I was shopping in Brockley Sainsburys on Friday and came across this ginger cat checking out all the isles in the shop. Unfortunately he was seen and was then escorted out of the shop by security."

But the cat's adventures were not over there, according to reports it later decided to return and relax on one of the shelves. Despite being removed by security again - it just kept coming back.

One witness wrote online: "Security tried to remove him. He sauntered straight back in". Another local who claimed to be the cat's owner wrote online: "Don't worry. Not lost. He's my cat. I've told the Sainsbury's staff to throw him out if too pesky. His name is Olly."

Speaking to HuffPost UK, a Sainsbury's spokesperson said: "Looks like there was a mix up with our Kit Kat delivery today!"
