This is the moment a hapless cow stuck between a ditch and a log was rescued.

The bovine was eating grass with its herd but fell down the steep banks while climbing down to drink water from a pond in Surin province, Thailand on April 5.

Footage shows the cow lying on its side in an awkward position. Passing farmers found the creature and helped push it out of the slope.

The tired creature refused to stand up but the man encourage it. Soon after, the cow was back on its feet and joined its herd.

Farmer Aekkawit said: ‘I was going to feed my animals in the field with grass when I saw the cow. It was not hurt.'

The creature ran back to the field with the other animals and the farmers went on their way.
