A motorcyclist was forced to veer off-road as a truck make an abrupt lane change on the A249 in Kent, UK.

Dashcam footage from June 1 captured the moment a nasty collision was narrowly avoided thanks to the biker's quick reactions.

According to the dashcam's owner, Richey Clarke, the truck was a left-hand driver.

He added: "It happened on the A249 Detling Hill. A truck at the front was going quite slow, the truck right in front of me was obviously getting frustrated so pulled out sharply but I guess hadn't seen the bike.

"The biker locked up the rear brake and went up the side of the truck and ended up on the grass verge and was lucky not to come off."

Foreign registered truck (so left hand drive) changes lane quite quickly and doesn't see the motorbike coming up the other lane. The biker locks up the rear brake and very nearly comes off but due to sheer luck/skill stays on, thankfully.

It happened on the A249 Detling Hill, Kent on the 1st June 2023 at 15:30. This Hill is quite steep. It was filmed on an Iiwey dash cam. It hasn't been shared on any other site.
