Fierce toy dogs chased a monitor lizard when it rampaged through their owner's home.

CCTV footage shows the fluffy pooches ganging up on the terrified reptile as they ran around the front yard in Chonburi province, Thailand on April 9.

The swift lizard kept searching for a hiding spot, but each time it squeezed into a gap or cramped space, one of the dogs would find it.

At one point, the lizard, appearing to be a juvenile, was cornered and almost caught by the pack of tiny dogs but it escaped to the back of the home.

Pet owner Jay Napaphat said: ‘The leader of my dogs is Jay Boonlue. They take care of him because of his leg disability.

‘I heard the noise from the barking dogs, so I checked the CCTV to see what happened. Then I saw them chasing the wild animal.'
