Hongkongers, mainland Chinese dissidents, Uyghurs, Tibetans, and UK citizens of Chinese descent marked the 34th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre by holding a march to the Chinese Embassy on June 4.

Participants chanted "Down with CCP" and "It's our duty" on the walk from London's Trafalgar Square in remembrance of the brutal crackdown on students in 1989.

This year, Hongkongers have been banned from commemorating the event.

Overseas Hong Kongers, mainland Chinese dissidents, Uyghur and Tibetans marked the 34th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square incident by holding a march to the Chinese Embassy where a rally took place (June 4).

Participants chanted 'Down with CCP' and 'It's our duty' on the walk from Trafalgar Square in remembrance of the brutal crackdown on students in 1989, which also resulted in the deaths of military personnel and medics who were fired on.

Hong Kongers this year have been banned from commemorating the event. During previous years the annually-held vigils were held in Victoria Park.
