This cafe in Thailand attracts customers by allowing them to play with a pet lion cub and other exotic animals.

Footage shows the three-month-old white lion cub named Nampetch affectionately requesting head scratches and pats from its caretaker at the Sedthi Dubai Cafe in Nonthaburi province.

The juvenile big cat enjoyed playing with a stick, and even practice roaring as it prowled around inside a transparent room away from the dining area.

Aside from Nampetch, there are also other exotic animals to befriend at the cafe, like caracals, a Devon Rex cat, a six-month-old lion cub named Leah, and a squirrel monkey named Abu after the simian character from Disney classic Aladdin.

There are no additional fees to interact with the animals, but only diners aged 15 and above can play with them. Customers only need to show their receipts before they can enter the cafe 'zoo'.

Staff said the interactions are closely monitored by the caretakers.

They said Nampetch was bought from a 'farm' for around 700,000 THB (20,500 USD), while the big cats with blue eyes fetched for a hefty 2.5 million THB (72,300 USD). Once the cubs are seven months old, they are sent back to the farm, having grown too large to safely play with.

The Sedthi Dubai Cafe is open every day from 12 pm to 8 pm, except on Tuesdays. Locals can visit the lion cubs from Thursday to Sunday.
