This is the dramatic moment a cow rampaged through a family's home while they watched TV.

The escaped bovine found the front door left open and casually walked inside as two panicked sisters spotted the creature first in Udon Thani province, Thailand on June 3.

CCTV footage captured the unruly brown beast invading the family's living room as the pair of little girls shrieked and dashed to hide behind their mum and dad.

It went straight to the back of the home, where the door was also left open before the father followed and shut it closed.

Shaken father Premsak Cumpunok said: ‘My girls were terrified. We were having a laid-back afternoon when it appeared out of nowhere.

‘The next thing we know, it was already inside the house. It didn't look like it wanted to hurt us, though.'

Premsak added that the cow appeared to have walked through their home while taking a shortcut from a nearby farm. It was trying to reach another nearby patch of land with fresh grazing.

The cow was ushered away into the new field without being hurt.

The dad said: ‘It didn't break anything. It just wanted to pass through but it was still scary for all of us. They are big and heavy so they can easily hurt a human.

‘We were careful about centipedes and snakes from entering our house and then a cow did. Anything is possible.'
