June's Strawberry Moon delights sky gazers in Switzerland.

"The full moon technically occurred on June 4 in Switzerland but was clouded out at my location. Finally, this morning, the moon emerged from stagnating clouds", said the filmer of this video.

The phenomenon earned its name as it coincided with the peak of the strawberry season in the U.S.

The clip was filmed in the Swiss municipality of Vétroz on June 5.

the full moon occured technically on june 4th early morning for Switzerland but was clouded out at my location.

then in the evening fullmoon rising happened very late and was still clouded out. Too bad, as I had planned to film the full moon rising just from behind and above the famous Matterhorn !

and finally this morning june 5th the moon emerged from stagnating clouds.

now in june when the Sun is very high in the sky the full moon in opposition is very low.
This is technically about 22 hours after the precise moment of full moon which is also called the strawberry moon.
