members of Extinction Rebellion South Africa, staged a performance protest on Kalk Bay beach to raise awareness around the importance of the Antarctic Treaty. Activists placed a mini Ice-berg on the beach and poured fake crude oil on it to demonstrate the damage mining holds for the environmentally sensitive region.
