THE EXTRAORDINARY moment a tiger is captured carrying the dead body of a leopard it had slain has been caught on camera.
The incredible footage showed a 310-pound tiger attacking a 110-pound Indian leopard who struggled to escape from the bigger cat’s clutches, as the pair scrapped in some dense woodland.
With the female tigress seemingly breaking the leopard’s neck, it could be seen carrying its kill across a dirt path and into the undergrowth.
The remarkable footage and images were captured by hospitality business owners Yashvardhan Singh Shekhawat (24) and his cousin Abhimanyu Singh Rajvi (30) from Rajasthan, India, at the Sariska Tiger Reserve, Rajasthan, India.
They captured the footage from just eight feet away using a Nikon D800.
