An excited fan fell from her kayak when she saw her favourite actress.

Rachelle Villafuerte was paddling on the crystal clear waters between islands in Palawan province, the Philippines, when they spotted the local drama artist Maxene Magalona on April 25.

The holidaymaker and her pal steered toward Maxene's boat, but as they were too eager to have a selfie with her, the pair lost control and balance before their vessel overturned.

Footage shows Rachelle waving 'hi' to her idol before she plunged into the water. However, the fan was unfazed by the embarrassing fall and swam to the actress' boat to take the coveted selfie.

She said: ‘I was so excited. She was really nice and beautiful. Maxene laughed at what had happened. She was very approachable and waited for us. She also made sure that we were fine.'

The pair climbed back to their kayak after taking selfies with the actress.
