Woman's eye horror! Accidental superglue mix-up leaves her in agony and eyelashes ruined

This woman was left in agony after accidentally picking up superglue thinking it was her eyedrops and pouring it into her eye.

Jennifer Eversole from Santa Rosa, California, filmed herself on June 3 after she mistakingly poured the adhesive into her left eye seeing her eyelashes become glued together.

"I have done it, I won the most idiotic person award. My eyedrops sit directly next to superglue," Eversole starts her video off.

She then reveals her left eye which has been glued shut.

Eversole later told Newsflare how this happened: "On Saturday I was rushing to get ready and out of the door to go pick up my grocery order with my 5-year-old daughter. I was talking to her and had just gotten out of my shower and my eyes were itching. I grabbed the bottle and didn’t look at what I grabbed before I put it up to my eye and squeezed.

"Nothing came out at first so I squeezed harder, and then the burning let me know I had just made a huge mistake. I screamed and my fiancé tried in vain to help me get my eye open.

"We debated packing all six kids into the car but it would take too much time. He called a few people for a ride but ultimately we decided to call an ambulance because I was in so much pain. When the fire department got there, they immediately started to work on my eye.

"The ice pack felt amazing on the burning pain but it was on my eyelid, on the waterline, and a little underneath against my eyeball as well. When I got to the hospital they put an oil-based ointment on it and let it sit.

"Once enough had dissolved for them to put numbing eyedrops into my eye, the doctor cut the larger chunks off of my eyelashes and cut the glue to allow my eye to open.

"I chose to go home to dissolve the rest of it off and wore a patch with a corn round underneath so the ointment could continue to do its work.

"On Sunday, I was gently picking at the glue and it started to, piece by piece over time, chip away. I did have to rip a little bit of the last piece off but at that point, I was so tired of the scratching and pain.

"My eye is still really blurry and if I look to my right it feels like I have 1,000 grains of sand in my eye so I’m not sure if it’s an abrasion or more glue.

"I see an ophthalmologist today so hopefully they have some answers. I have no lashes in the middle of my right eye which I didn’t realize kept so much out of my eyes, and my eyes still itch."

Eversole posted her painful experience to TikTok where it racked up 3.2 million views.

One user commented: "Omg please update! This is so scary! You’re so right to cry."

Another said: "Girl your not the first one to do it don’t worry lmao."

"I accidentally used my mom's peroxide solution in my normal contacts case… full undiluted peroxide in my eye," another user said.
