Handmade gift maker Dobromira Kudryashova (29) from Samara, Russia has had long hair since she was a four years old and while in the process of growing her hair to her waist, she fell pregnant and refused to cut it, fearing if she did she would bring misfortune to herself or her new family. This meant she had no choice, but to become a real life Rapunzel.
As a child, Dobromira looked up to her favourite cartoon Sailor Moon’s main character Usagi Tsukino and her long blonde hair braided in a Japanese odango hairstyle.
Sailor Moon is a Japanese manga cartoon based on books that trace the adventures of its main character, Usagi Tsukino.
Dobromira also looked up to her mother who always had waist length hair and she is from a family where the ladies grow their hair long.
