COMICAL yet thrilling images and video of probably one of the fattest and roundest sharks you are likely to see have been captured by a Brit photographer.
Images show the shark, all round and plump, posing nicely for some portraits for the photographer.
A great white shark weighs 5,000 pounds on an average and can go upto 23 feet long.
The shark captured by this photographer is undeniably one of the roundest shark captured.
These images were captured by London-born filmmaker and photographer Euan Rannachan (36) with a Nikon D850 in a Aquatech water housing at the at Guadalupe Island about 120 miles off the coast of Mexico.
“Its always amazing to me how round some of these sharks get,” said Euan.
“Its not rare to see a shark one day slim and full of energy and then the next day fat, round, and happy to just slowly swim around and look at things.
“Another reason they get so round is that the fish is pregnant but, telling if the shark is round because of food or a baby is very tricky to do from just looking.
“All this footage was taken at Guadalupe Island about 120 miles off the coast of Mexico.
“It is now closed to the public by the Mexican government, putting these incredible sharks in danger of being wiped out by illegal fishing in the area.”
