A man uses a chainsaw to cut down a tree that was damaged during a storm.
Many large trees were knocked over during a big storm on June 1st, 2023, in Norther Thailand. Many papaya trees were knocked down, as well as much larger trees which caused a lot of damage, and blocked roads etc. The local cemetery was damaged by large branches falling on headstones. In the days after the storm many people were out with chainsaws cutting up these trees, and also cutting down dangerous trees that might fall in the future. In this video they were taking preventative precautions as this tree posed a threat to the small farmhouse nearby. In the last clip, I show the same scene again, but from a different angle. The man doing the cutting is a local specialist with the chainsaw, and when we asked him if he could cut some trees for us, he said that he had a large Q. So we would have to wait a few days for his service.
