A hapless kitten stuck inside a car's front bumper was rescued.

The tiny feline crawled inside the small space through a hole under the sedan in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 9.

It was tucked inside the cramped area, apparently thinking it had found a new shelter until the driver unknowingly used the car to buy coffee with the creature inside.

The kitten was only discovered by a cafe barista in the car park, so driver Pitsamai Choorod rushed to a nearby garage to ask for help saving the cat.

Footage shows a mechanic working under the car to pull the cat. Soon after, the kitten was extracted and returned to the driver.

Pitsamai said: ‘I'm relieved the cat was fine. The cat was safe and came home with me.'

The driver's son adopted the kitten after it was rescued unhurt.
