Kind worker frees hungry deer tangled in net on cabbage farm in South Korea
This is the heartwarming moment a kind worker freed a deer tangled up in a net on a farm in South Korea.
The hungry herbivore had wandered into the cabbage garden to munch on some of the fresh produce but found itself caught in the net on June 6.
Unable to stand up, the hapless animal cried and flailed on the ground, further twisting the net around its body.
The noise was heard by farm worker Pantawat Hachai, who quickly grabbed a pair of cutters to carefully free the wild animal.
Footage shows Pantawat and a colleague snipping off the knotted strands of rope from the deer's legs, with the panting creature obediently lying motionless on the ground.
When it was finally released, the deer stood and bounded away happily across the field at the farm in Gangwon-do province.
Pantawat said: 'It must have been stuck there for a while. Its voice was hoarse and it couldn't cry anymore.
'After we freed it, we followed it to the other end of the garden to give it some water. We were afraid it wouldn't have the strength to return to the woods up the hills.'
Pantawat's kind deed earned him praise for showing compassion to the wild animal.
