Three abandoned ginger kittens were found cowering behind a resident's washing machine.

The scared trio wandered into the property together looking for shelter when their heartless owner dumped them in the street outside in Samut Prakan province, Thailand, on April 23.

Footage shows the felines looking up when the house owner, who discovered the hiding behind the appliance.

Feeling sorry for the creatures, resident Nalilnara adopted and took care of them in her home.

She said: ‘My heart melted when I found them. At first, I thought the scratching noise was from a rat or a snake.

‘The kittens were so adorable. Whoever dumped them should be ashamed.'

The well-behaved kittens have adjusted to their new home and even sleep together in a basket.
