Following the incident, the local government swiftly took action. On June 8, an official announcement was made, confirming the authenticity of the incident after a thorough investigation.

In response, a joint investigative team has been formed, and immediate measures have been taken to shut down the kindergarten for rectification.

A netizen commented on Weibo, a Twitter-like social media in China: "Let her eat with that tray herself."

Another said: "They should be put into jail."
