A jungle-dwelling Thai man has been dubbed 'Iron Neck' for his astonishing stunts that involved incredible neck strength.

Suwat Raksajit, 44, displayed an almost inhuman ability on wooden beams and tres around his woodland home in Trang province, Thailand on June 6.

The remarkable demonstration began with Suwat hanging by his neck on a wooden beam seven feet above the ground.

To add to the challenge, he even carried two buckets, each filled with 22 pounds of sand, in both hands. His neck veins bulged as he held the position and sat cross-legged in the air, wiggling effortlessly as he struck the yoga pose.

He also executed walking handstands and inverted pull-ups, further fascinating local officials and neighbours who came to watch.

Suwat said he first discovered his exceptional neck strength 12 years ago, when he was 32 years old. He had started from more ordinary tricks like walking on a tightrope, pedaling backwards on a bicycle, and sitting on a bike's handlebars, before gradually moving on to more daring feats.

The local stuntman said: 'I was inspired by TV talent shows that featured people with special abilities. I practiced a lot to develop my strength. It helps that I have a naturally thin build.

'I made mistakes and hurt myself often in the beginning, but I just thought of it as exercise. I still get abrasions and small wounds, but the stunts are no longer painful because I'm more experienced.'

Despite the admiration he enjoys now, the seasoned acrobat warned the public not to replicate his dangerous stunts.
