A man weighing 300 kilograms (47 stone) was transported by forklift from his home to a hospital in central Jakarta, Indonesia.

Footage from June 9 shows Muhammad Fajri, 27, being moved from Tangerang City General Hospital to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital in the capital.

The 27-year-old, who has been obese since he was aged 11, had developed infections across his body and pain in his legs.

According to Fajri's mother, Ms Riwati, a wound to his leg around a year ago has caused him to be bed-bound.

A man weighing 300 kilograms, Muhammad Fajri (27) was referred from the Tangerang City General Hospital (RSUD) to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM), Central Jakarta. Due to the large weight, Fajri was moved by a forklift and taken by a fire engine truk to RSCM.

The transfer process took one hour with the help of dozens of joint BPBD and Tangerang City Hospital officers. The decision of the Tangerang City Hospital to refer Fajri to the RSCM was due to the fact that the Tangerang City Hospital did not have adequate equipment.
