Muhammad Fajri (27), an obese man weighing almost 300 kilograms, has been lying in his bed for 8 months without being able to do anything.
This was revealed by the Main Director, Tangerang City Hospital, namely Dr. O.U Taty Damayanti. He said Fajri already had tax potential, but because he had no activities, his weight was increasing.
"In chronological order, for the past 8 months Fajri has been lying in bed unable to do anything. Previously, the potential for obesity already existed because his body weight was already at 120 kilograms, 8 months ago. Because there is no activity, just lying down is where there is an increase in excess body weight which is now estimated to be over 250 kilograms," said Taty, Saturday (10/6/2023).
While at the Tangerang Hospital before finally being referred to Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Jakarta National General Hospital, Taty reported that Fajri's condition was fully conscious and able to communicate in two directions.
However, Taty continued, her movements were very limited, she could only sit and be held back. As for his legs, only the left side can move, because his right leg is injured due to an accident.
"Psychologically, Fajri's condition is also being monitored by a psychiatrist. But Fajri and Mrs. Fajri are in a proactive condition. Where before, there was little objection to being referred to the RSCM. However, now that they have been given an understanding, Fajri and his parents are willing to be referred. The Tangerang City Hospital is also processing it," he said
